Vendor Spotlight: KG Photography

Below is our interview with Kyle Gregory of KG Photography. We creative people here at Relish LOVE photography and love the fact that we have been able to meet so many wonderful wedding photographers because we work in the industry. While there are certainly a lot of great ones here in Nashville, when we recently discovered KG Photography (while researching our real wedding from yesterday!) we took pause because of the strikingly beautiful style. Some of the photos are just composed in such a breathtaking way! We knew we HAD to connect with KG Photography and find more awesome photos to look at. (many of which are below!) We were very surprised to find that he is fairly new to the business. The great news is that he isn't just wedding photography - which means perhaps eve we old married folk can find a reason to get him to shoot us. Our suggestion to brides: Grab him up while you can!!!

Name of Business: K.G. Photography

Owner / CEO: Kyle Gregory

Contact Information: Phone - (615)525-0851 / www.kgcapture.com

When was your business established? K.G. Photography was recently established in early 2008! My first desire to start learning more about photography was when I was on a mission trip in Mexico. I had a dinky 4.1 megapixel camera and shot EVERYTHING with it. When I returned home, I put together a slide show of all the pictures that I shot and showed my church. All of their compliments really inspired me to pursue an education in photography. I went to Nossi College of Art for two years and graduated! Now I’m pursuing photography nearly full time. The Lord has blessed me so much!

Where is the location of business and how far you can travel or provide service?: We are located in the Hendersonville/Gallatin, TN area. Our studio location is YOUR CHOICE. We are available to shoot your event anywhere in the U.S.!

Why did you go into this business?: I have a passion for capturing moments that families and couples will treasure for a lifetime. I love to look back on old photos of my family every now and then. Some of those family members are no longer with us. All we have of them are our wonderful memories and…photos. Photos tell a story. What kind of stories would your photos tell?

What’s your favorite part of this industry? That’s an easy one! Meeting new people! I have come across so many amazing families and couples since I’ve started my business. Here lately, people have wanted to cook me dinner and bake me pies during the ordering process! I must be honest, I have no problem with that.

What type of packages do you offer? I offer custom wedding packages that include, ALL DAY COVERAGE on all wedding packages, engagement sessions, bridal sessions, flush mount leather wedding albums, online proofing of your photos, proofs books, parent books, surface modifications for your photos, prints sizes that range from wallet size to 40x60, DVD’s that contain all your edited images and much, much more! We offer three main packages to get you started, but we strongly recommend tailoring your own package. Doing this will guarantee you get what YOU want for YOUR big day! We also offer custom packages for family sessions, senior sessions, maternity and infants.

What is your unique style / service that sets you apart from other vendors in your industry? So many photographers don’t stay connected to their clients after they shoot their special event. We strive to provide the most info to our clients as possible, whether it be the ordering process, or the wedding album confirmation. Another cool aspect to our business is our photo editing and our wedding album designs. We always look for new ideas and cool designs to “wow” our clients as much as possible! It takes some time, but it’s definitely worth it!!

What is one memory you won’t forget working in this industry? When the groom sees the bride for the first time. Each wedding we have shot has a such a different feel at this moment. Another moment is when the groom and his groomsmen performed “You’ve lost that loving feeling” from the movie “Top Gun”. They sat the bride down, and one of the groomsmen pretended to try to talk to her about the mistake she had made by marrying his best friend. Then, the groom comes back in and pretends to be angry for a bit and then BOOM! Lights go dim, sunglasses are put on and the music starts. The brides face was priceless!

For those of you already married, here are some of the other great photos KG Photography has created! Again we say: book them!

We'd like to end by saying Congrats to Kyle as he just got engaged to his girlfriend Laura Gammon! We stole this photo of them off Facebook... aren't they cute?!

Congrats to the KG Photography team!! We wish you much success on your business & in your own wedding journey! [Psssst... we know somewhere you can get cute invitations!]
